St.Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day & Happy Friendship Day to all!

Today was heart-warming.. It’s pleasant and encouraging to know that there’s so many people around who cares about you. Gift exchanging was fun as well.    Received cookie (made by Adeline and Toh Hui Ping), sweets, cards, paper folded roses (to make up for the tissue paper birthday present huh, Chak Hang.) and CHOCOLATES! Toblerone seems to be the hot favourite this year. Received about 8 Toblerone bars. The Toblerone advertisements on the wall along MRT stations must be working really well..Anyway, it was the thought that matters, not the gift..

Oh Oh, and i must mention, Sandra made me this really pretty card.. Quote “Taking goofy pictures and crazy times, we are sisters at heart and even partners in crime.”  Since when did i join in your evil acts huh…! But it’s still very thoughtful of you.. I appreciate it. :]

And everyone seemed to be in a good mood today.. Mrs Chua (& her lollipop) and even Yang Lao Shi.. 4C1 was also moving slightly towards a more bonded class, which is great! Felt a sense of belonging when we were taking the class photo (finally, after 1 and 1⁄6 years) . Class tee Class tee! Dance tee coming soon as well.. Yay!

Back to the point, Friends, you guys  really are the best things that can happen to me. Thank you for everything. :]

The Best Job.

School commenced for a week or so ago. Has been really occupied with school work and stuff. Overloaded with piles of holiday homework which I cannot be bothered to do during the vacation.. :[ And today, i finally have leisure time..

So, while i was surfing the net, looking for interesting things, this article caught my attention.

It states that an Australian state is offering internationally what they call it "the best job in the world".
I have heard of offices having billard rooms, sofa-beds, cafeteria that has buffet-style food and many other luxurious facilities, that makes me wonder are people there to work, or recreate and pass time?

Well, back to the point, this claimed "Best Job in The World" is nothing I have come across.
This job pays a jaw-dropping SIX FIGURE salary.
And guess what, all this lucky person has to do, is to look after

THIS AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL ISLAND.

This fortunate person is suppose to stroll the white sands, snorkel the reef, take care of a few minor tasks and report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates. He will get to stay rent-free in a three-bedroom beach home ,complete with plunge pool and golf buggy.

COME ON! Is this even a JOB? Please,it's more like a vacation! And a paid one too.. Too good to be true!

"This is a legitimate job which is open to anyone and everyone".

They should just employ me!
I totally don't mind strolling lazily down the island, feeling the soft sand beneath my feet, breathing in the fresh air, snorkelling in the turqoise blue sea, and of course, getting paid such money.. :]

Buh-bye 2008

It’s abit late to do this now, but i think I should do some reflections on the year 2008 before i welcome 2009.

Happiest moments of 2008

Let’s start with my best friend, Shermaine.

2008 was such a great year for the both of us (maybe not you) when Mr Chua allowed us to sit beside one another for one full year, and I was able to bully you everyday without fail.. Hitting you with my papers, pinching your face, pulling your hair, knocking your hands whenever you were writing. And i would irritate you with new songs that i create every single day. You probably don’t want to be reminded of this but, “MUSCLE RABBIT!”.  I admit it was quite mean of me to make you suffer for 188 days (after deducting weekends and school holidays), but i got my punishment as well, I was the newspaper girl for 188 days okay.. Haha. I remember how i would sneakily stuff all the newspaper in the teacher’s cabinet. Like i said, Mr Chua just found the wrong girl to take care of the newspapers. And so, when spring cleaning came, when Kang Qim opened the cabinet, all the newspapers just dropped out. Fun eh?

  I love how we happy-go-lucky everyday, called mad,childish everyday, how we were so restless before recess and so full of life after recess, how you taught me to be patient while waiting for the super long and not moving malay rice queue, when we complained about Mr Ho, our wonderful pink-shirt chemistry teacher, Mr Johnny Foo, who taught 3B1 till most of them failed SS, and Huang Huan Xin for acting cute even though she’s really very adorable..

I wonder why my appetite always becomes so big when we go out together. You’re always the one who’s bugging me to eat with you. Hmph! Donuts, pretzels, bread (ok, i was the one who bugged u for bread), what-nots till we were like pigs..

Note for you for 2009 : Since I’m still sitting beside you for 2009, i guess my terrorizing acts will perhaps continue. :]

 

Next up, TAY HUI PING.

I love calling you TAY for the whole of 2008. I remember how i stole one mouthful of your kindo brueno(how do u spell this thing?).  I am happy everytime we managed to patch up after a misunderstanding. I love how we always gossipped before dance starts, (especially about Bastard), how i always accompany you all around the school just to find the dumb dance room key. And you would come to my house to tie French Braid when there’s performance..Yea, and how you dragged me to Madagascar when it was so boring.. I enjoyed it very much when we went to dine in New York New York on your birthday eve, cam-whored there, played with chilli sauce. And you did not eat the apple candy floss i got for you! RAWR.. Surprised when i received your mail and there was a Christmas greeting card inside, and SHOCKED when i see that dumb photo of the sec-one-me pasted right in the middle. To think you kept silly photos of me in your phone for 3 years, to entertain yourself when you’re bored uh? Delete them from your phone, i’m begging you!!!!!!! And since you changed your phone, i guess i don’t have to persuade you to tear down your all-time spongebob wallpaper.

Note for 2009 : Delete my photos from your phone!!!

 

Next, my 7 year-long best friend, Eunice Siow.

EUNICE! I love it when everytime we would go to Macdonalds to chat, past time and revise for the exams.. And every holidays, we definitely have to go K once! And sometimes, our heart-to heart talk.. ;]  And to think we have never been in the same class before, we can be such great BFF for so long! And you never fail to cheer me up with your lame jokes..Ruhh~ OH OH! And all the places we planned to go, like Swensen’s, Pepper lunch, Sakae and the JP thing… I’m waiting for your encouragement-treat before my Os..!! Love ya loads!

Note for 2009 : You promised to brush up my Biology!

 

Then, my cute little tiny winy Miao Yu.

We hit off pretty well, and i dare say we are the closest compared to other seniors and juniors,right? I love how we would go home together every after dance because you stay opposite me. How you would secretly dislike it whenever i called you “tiny”..

Note for 2009 : Stop being so excited for HIP! And remember, you promised me to constantly root me up for O’s.

 

SAMANTHA

I love how everytime, we would go crazy over DBSK and i would squeal over Xiah, while you fantasize over Hero, whom i still don’t like. And we can go home together because you moved to Chinese Garden and that’s when I told you my personal problems and you would counsel me and tell me to just be myself and not live for anybody. :] Thanks for all your useful advices on the train.. Never forget that.!

Note for 2009 : Let’s aim for gold with honours for SYF!

All your lame jokes~I will never forget how you knocked me with the bottle and sprayed crazy ribbons all over me! Irritating fellow. And the pig you gave my on my birthday..URGGGG!

Nydyn, who drew me a super nicely done card and gave me some lollipops, to persuade me to persevere on when i was on the verge of giving up.

My parents, unconditionally supporting me.

My mum, who baked a birthday cake all by herself and in my favourite flavour as well, chocolate!

Last but not least, my father, who sends the lazy me to school everyday so i don’t have to take public transport.

**I guess the only saddest moment of 2008 for me was when i failed my E Maths test on 14th August ( I remember vividly) and i cried so hard from 9.00-11.00a.m.
